ADAEZE

OVERVIEW
“Adaeze” is the first piece in my collection, Spice, where I explore the beauty of women in different parts of the world. Adaeze means princess in Igbo. I leave a trace of my culture.

I observe a model in Igbo royal attire, proud of her heritage. Her facial tribal marks are scarifications for specific identification to the tribe. The beads and horsetail symbolize royalty. Behind her is a popular Igbo fabric, “akwete,” emphasizing her identity. Her beauty is culture.
